OBJECTIVES
To provide comprehensive advance training in all aspects of thoracic surgery.

DURATION
12 months

CONTENT

• Participation in the pre-operative assessment, operative and post-operative management of patients including thoracic surgery.
• Exposure to open thoracic operations for lung and esophageal tumor resections, minimal invasive resection of thymus and other thoracoscopic procedures.
• Exposure to lung reduction surgery and lung transplantation.
  

ADMISSION CRITERIA

• MMed (Surgery), FRCS or its local equivalent.

HANDS-ON TRAINING
Yes. As assistant.
